This violent representation of Cupid stems from researching him and reading his myths that paint a different picture of Cupid than the one greater society sees. Rather than the innocent, cherub-like figure frivolously shooting his bows wherever he pleases, Cupid is a cunning wielder of love and heartbreak. Love is a dangerous weapon and cupid manipulates it better than anyone else.
