The Intrapersonal Matrix was inspired by the reading of A Theory of Personality Development (1993) by Psychologist Luciano L’abate, in which he cites Psychologist Robert Kegan. On page 39 under the section titled “Personality, Selfhood, and Self-Concept”. Which states, “Kegan proposed that the self is an intrapersonal matrix where events are received, interpreted, and responded to - “the zone of mediation where meaning is made””. This piece is a psychological representation of the artists “intrapersonal matrix”.
