A Weak Connection to the Former Self

A Weak Connection to the Former Self is a sculpture consisting of ready made Disney Stitch plushies. This piece is representative of the disconnect I feel towards my former existence as a child, while simultaneously being important objects to that child. These plushies have been collected over the course of my life, with a high concentration of them being collected during childhood. They played an integral and comforting role in my childhood. These objects are the last remnants of that child who was the basis of who I am and why I am.
